Scantag Pty Ltd has been combining Electrical Safety, Testing & Tagging of Portable Electrical Equipment with Asset Tracking. Since 1900 

Welcome to Scantag’s Online Testing Centre, Our web site is designed to guide you through the requirements of Electrical Testing of Appliances. Whether you have 50 items or 50,000 items at 1 or 100 sites to test, we can ensure that it is managed and carried out correctly. 

Using a combination of traditional and PAT testing instruments, efficient work practices, bar-coded test tags, equipment labels and location numbering, combined with a hand held recoder we are able to safety check equipment and record asset information very efficiently. 

Our largest client has in excess of 35,000 items at various sites. Our records now form a vital part of their asset management strategy. Other clients have fewer than 100 items and our test and item reports are often their only asset register. 

Asset tracking of any type of Equipment can also be undertaken with the electrical testing program or as a seperate job. 

Since 1990. Scantag has undertaken Electrical Testing and Tagging of Portable Electrical Appliances to meet Electrical Safety Regulations in Queensland (Formerly called the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.) 

We specialise in providing Testing Services, documented work procedures and detailed client profiles to ensure testing meets client and regulatory needs. Test reports are provided from our Scantest data collection system using Symbol Portable Data Terminals (PDTs), in conjunction with efficient bar-coded Test Tags and Equipment. 

Our unique system provides for both on-site visual validation of testing as well as computerised asset tracking of equipment and provides documentation of each item tested.
